It is time to make this simple, easy Gluten Free Oreo Pie Crust for all your favorite pies! Not only is it gluten free, but it also uses TWO ingredients-that's it! The crust is made from crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter. It is pressed into a pan and baked for ten minutes. This homemade Oreo crust could not be easier.

There was no more fabulous day than the day the gluten free Oreos first appeared on the grocery store shelf. The white package with the all-too-familiar Oreo logo we all know and love - but now gluten free! And the best part, they are tasty!

Use this quick recipe to make a gluten free Oreo pie crust for any recipe that calls for a store-bought Oreo pie crust. This recipe would also work as a replacement for a store-bought graham cracker pie crust. It is a great option to create a gluten free pie, as long as the pie filling ingredients do not contain gluten.

What You'll Need

two ingredients for oreo pie crust.
  • Gluten Free Regular Stuffed Oreos - While I love double-stuffed Oreos to eat and in cookies and cream overnight oats, they do not make the best crunchy Oreo pie crust. The creamy white filling in the double-stuffed makes the pie crust softer.
  • Butter - Melted butter

See the recipe card for the exact measurements and complete instructions.

Step-By-Step Instructions

food processor with oreos.

Step 1: Use a 14-cup food processor or high-speed blender to turn the whole Oreo cookies into fine crumbs.

If you do not have either, you can put the Oreos in a zip-top bag and roll them with a rolling pin.

adding melted butter to the oreo crumbs in the food processor.

Step 2: Melt butter in a saucepan on the stovetop or in the microwave. Pour the melted butter over the crumbs and mix.

Carefully dump the crumb butter mixture into a pie dish.

Step 3: Using your fingers or the side of a measuring cup, press the Oreo crumbs into an even layer and up the sides into a 9-inch pie plate. Do not delay this step. It is much easier to press the crumbs while the butter is still warm.

Bake crust in a preheated 350 degree F oven for 8-10 minutes. This will firm up the crust and provide the perfect base for the pie filling. Cool before filling.

Tips and Tricks

Quickly press the buttered Oreo crumbs into the pie plate. Cooled butter doesn't work as well.

Use gluten free mint Oreos or gluten free golden Oreos for different flavors of Oreo pie crust!

Variations

Oreo Options: If gluten-free is not needed, use regular Oreos.

Vegan Oreo Pie Crust: Oreos are not only gluten free, they are also vegan. Sub in a vegan butter substitute or coconut oil for the butter to make this crust vegan-friendly and dairy free.

Gluten Free Pastry Pie Crust: Need a traditional gluten free pie crust recipe? We got one! It is tender, flavorful and also a great pie crust option.

Storage

Store: Keep the pie crust covered with plastic wrap in the pie dish until ready to use. If using the pie crust for a cream-filled pie such as French silk, peanut butter pie, or ice cream pie, it will need to be at room temperature before being filled. This will help prevent melting.
