How To Make For A Crowd

Place all the toast toppings on a board and allow everyone to create their own toppings. Toast the bread on a large baking sheet in a 250 degree F oven until crispy, about 10-15 minutes. If instructed in the recipe, add toppings before baking.

Cheesy Egg Toast

A classic combination of cheddar cheese with sliced hard-boiled eggs, all sprinkled with salt and pepper!

Cheesy Egg Toast

  • 1 Slice Bread
  • 1 Slice Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 Hard-Boiled Egg
  • Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper

Add a slice of cheese before toasting bread in the oven. Likewise, after toasting bread in toaster, add cheese immediately. This will allow the cheese to melt. Peel and slice the hard-boiled egg. Sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Orange Zest Sugared Toast

Toast is topped with orange-flavored sugar butter and baked to perfection. If you need more than one slice, use this recipe inspired by my Grandma Jean.

Orange Zest Sugared Toast

  • 1 Slice Bread
  • 2 teaspoons Softened Butter
  • ½ teaspoon Orange Zest
  • 1 tablespoon White Granulated Sugar

Add the sugar mixture to the bread before baking in the oven. If you want to make a large batch (6 slices) of orange toast, use this recipe.

Peanut Butter Jam Toast

It's a classic for a reason! Sprinkle chia seeds over the homemade freezer strawberry jam for extra fiber and texture.

Peanut Butter Jam Toast

  • 1 Slice Toasted Bread
  • 2 tablespoons Natural Peanut Butter
  • 1 tablespoons Strawberry Jam
  • Sprinkle of Chia Seeds

After the bread is toasted, spread the peanut butter on it. Drizzle on the strawberry jam and sprinkle the chia seeds over the jam. Allow the seeds to soak a bit to soften.

Cottage Cheese Toast

I love the combination of toasted bread, cottage cheese, and salty bacon. The freshly cracked black pepper adds just the right amount of spice!

Cottage Cheese Toast

  • 1 Slice Toasted Bread
  • ¼ cup Lactose Free Cottage Cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Real Bacon Bits or Crumbled Bacon
  • Freshly Cracked Black Pepper

Add the cottage cheese to the top of the toasted bread and spread it out evenly. Sprinkle the real bacon bits over the cottage cheese and add cracked black pepper.

Berry Good Toast

The sweetest of the bunch with the fresh berries, creamy cream cheese, and the rich Nutella drizzle.

Berry Good Toast

  • 1 Slice Toasted Bread
  • 2 tablespoon Lactose Free Cream Cheese
  • Handful Fresh Blueberries
  • Handful Fresh Raspberries
  • 1 tablespoon Nutella

After the bread is toasted, spread the cream cheese in an even layer over it. Add the berries and drizzle Nutella over them. If needed, warm the Nutella in a small bowl in the microwave.

Mediterranean Toast

Using a low FODMAP hummus as a base on the toast creates a creamy, flavorful option. Add crunchy radishes and cucumbers, and sprinkle with feta cheese.

Mediterranean Toast

  • 1 Slice Toasted Bread
  • 2 tablespoons Low FODMAP Hummus
  • 6 Slices Radishes
  • 6 Cucumber Slices
  • 1 tablespoon Feta Cheese, crumbled

After the bread is toasted, spread the hummus over it. Arrange the radishes and cucumber slices over the top. Sprinkle crumbled feta over it all.

More Toast Topping Ideas

  • Smashed Avocado Toast: Smashed avocado on top of a toast sprinkled with Low FODMAP Everything Bagel Seasoning found on Amazon. Recently, Monash University retested avocadoes, finding them safe at three tablespoons per meal.
  • Cinnamon and Sugar Toast: Butter warm bread, and top with a mixture of one-third cinnamon and two-thirds white granulated sugar.
  • Fairy Bread Toast: This one is great for kids or kids at heart! Butter a warm piece of bread and completely cover it with sprinkles. Press the sprinkles into the buttered bread. It is beautiful and has a great texture. Be aware that the tiny sprinkles get caught in braces.
