Using a 6-quart Instant Pot, add the trivet and a steamer basket if you have one to the liner.
Add water to the liner. Next, gently place the eggs in the basket or trivet. Do not let them rest against the liner.
Make sure the sealing ring is in place in the cover and place the cover on the Instant Pot. Set the valve to sealing and pressure cook for five minutes. The first "5" of the 5-5-5 method.
Next, let the eggs naturally release for five minutes - the second "5" of the 5-5-5 method.
Release any remaining pressure and remove the cover. Place the hard boiled eggs in the ice water for five minutes. The third "5" of the 5-5-5 method.
Drain the ice water and keep the hard boiled eggs in the refrigerator. They will last up to seven days, peeled or unpeeled.
