Using two, 9x13-inch pans, place the chicken breasts into a single layer.
Brush the tops of the chicken breasts with BBQ sauce. Generously coat each one.
Cut the bacon strips in half. Place on top of the BBQ sauce coated chicken breasts.
Next cover each chicken breast with a slice of cheddar cheese. Cut in half if needed to help with the placement.
Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until an internal temperature of 165 degrees F is reached.
Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
Notes
Note 1: This is a quick and easy way to bake bacon. Heat the oven to 400 degrees F and place the bacon on a wire rack over a tin foil covered baking sheet. Bake the bacon for 18-20 minutes or until chewy. For a crisper bacon, cook for an additional 5-10 minutes. Note 2: If you cannot find thinly cut chicken breasts, slice boneless, skinless chicken breasts the long way in half. Storage: Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or until warm. Freeze cooled leftover in the the freezer for up to 4 months.
